Page headed to Indiana with Deb Abbott, Devon and Deb’s other dogs. They are doing field, agility, tracking and obedience. Page’s registered name honors both her father Goose and her dam Bizzy, and her call name honors Rachel Page Elliot, one of the founders and biggest fans of the golden retriever breed. Page’s registered name is a task whose execution is inordinately complex relative to the value of the outcome. Deb has high hopes for this girl so the execution may well be quite complex but well worth the outcome.
Page has proven to be quite talented in tracking. She was certified for her TD at 19 weeks of age, earned her Tracking Dog and Tracking Dog Excellent titles at 8 months of age. Page then made breed history when she became the youngest golden retriever to pass the AKC’s Variable Surface Tracking test, making her a Champion Tracker at 19 months old on Oct 3, 2010.
Page earned her Junior Hunter title in four straight tests. She has also tackled agility and earned her Novice Agility and Novice Agility Jumpers titles in September 2010. A week later, she passed the GRCA Working Certificate test on her first attempt. What a pup–titles in three venues by 18 months of age!!
Since then, Page has finished her RN title and is trialing in agility, finishing up her AX and AXJ and running well in Master.
