Gaylan’s Olde St Nick Naughty or Nice MH WCX qualified for the first Master Amateur invitational in April 2017 in Cairo, GA and then again for the 2nd Master Amateur, which was held in Sedalia, MO in May 2018.
How cool is that? Good breeding by Gayle Watkins and constant training with good friends has produced a Golden Retriever I am proud and honored to stand alongside hunting or at hunt tests. Nick is ready, eager and still able at nine years old to take on the next challenge.
Mr. Nick, as he’s known around the house, is a happy, AKC-finished working retriever, thanks to my wife and training partners. He’s a gentle dog who likes to talk to us with his “woo woo woo’s” and has brought so much joy and laughter into our lives. To date, he’s passed 36 Master Tests.
In 2019, Nick passed his third Master Amateur National Championship, putting him in the MARC Hall of Fame. He’s one of only two goldens to be in the HoF!
