Trip’s AXJ titling run
Trip is having a great time doing field work, obedience and agility in Florida with Paula. He finished both his NA and NAJ in short order by May 2009. He earned his CCA under evaluators Helen Dorrance, Janet Narushka and Margie Sarkin.
He hit the field in early 2010, finishing his UKC Hunting Retriever and Upland Hunter titles in two weekends and his AKC Senior Hunter title in 3 weekends. He hasn’t failed a field test yet! Go, Trip!!!! Trip’s SH title qualified him for the GRCA’s Versatility Certificate (VC).
Trip earned his WC and WCX on the same day in Nov 2010. That day, he also received the Faye Simpson Memorial Trophy, which is given at the judges’ discretion to the dog that they feel “epitomizes the working character of the Golden Retriever.”
Trip became our first UKC Hunting Retriever Champion in October 2012.
